Jesse James Makes Top 5 out of 66 Youth!

Jesse did absolutely fabulous in Fort Worth! This year the two of us made the finals and showed off all our hard work.  I am very proud of him and he's an amazing little horse!

I also wanted to share what an amazing job ALL of the youth did! My little sister got 5th place in her age division and her horse went to a wonderful new home in California.

Well after two days of competing i'm am proud to say that Jesse and I made it in to the Top 20! Actually we even made it into the top ten! Which means tomorrow morning we will be competing for $15,000. Wish us luck!

Also very proud of ALL the youth and ALL their mustangs! Everybody did a wonderful job and congratulations to those who made it to the Top 20!

"Mustang Madness" Day 115

For my job as Mustang Trainer Representative, I try to get the word out about mustangs as best as I can.  So today my friends and family brought our Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeover horses to our Cowboy Church and did a little demonstration with them. With only a little over a week left before the competition, this was great exposure for our young horses.  All of the horses did an awesome job and everybody was very impressed with how far we had come with them in such a short time.

Decided to try some new things out while we were in Missouri on our way back to Texas.  He seemed pretty cool about everything I threw at him so lets hope he has that same attitude next month in Forth Worth!

Jesse is doing really well, we've been working hard on getting ready for Fort Worth. Today we worked on making everything look crisp and clean. I want everything to look good by the time the makeover rolls around.  Jesse's a very quick learner, I've been very impressed with him this summer.

Day 84

Seemed like Jesse need something new to do, so today I threw a saddle on him.  He was a little tight at first, which was expected considering this was only his second time with a saddle.  But he did great with it! He reminds me a little bit of Pilgrim with my saddle on him

Day 83 and 17th Year!

By the title, one might think "thought Jesse was a yearling?" well yes he is.  But today was a little more than just another day in Jesse's training.  It's my 17th birthday and it sure felt like Jesse knew it.  He did such a fabulous job for me today.  It's like he knew that today was my birthday.

Started off working on a little finishing up on his walking and trotting beside me, he kept on trying to leave me so we worked on teaching him to stay right beside me.  He learned really quickly.  Then we moved on to directing his feet where I want them to go, we had him even go over some challenging obstacles in the process. After that I loped him around a while trying to develop and condition his muscles.  He's looking a lot better than last month.  Then we went onto the pedestool, he got right on there no problem! Afterwards I let him role around in the arena and gave him a little treat for being such a good boy!

You know it's a good birthday when you're spending it with these two!

For my birthday a nice girl by the name of Hannah made this amazing design of Jesse for me, I thought it was so awesome I couldn't NOT share it!

Day 58 Two-timing In-hand Winner: Jesse James!!!

Jesse went to his second show today, he did great!  We went over a teeter-totter, a small jump, a scary tarp, backed up, and got onto a pedestool.  He did great, we even picked up another blue ribbon.  He's such a great little mustang, everywhere we go Jesse and I leave an impression on every person.  And I know that every one of those people wanted a mustang just like Jesse.  He's becoming quite a popular attraction at the Trail Rider Challenges.

Day 57

So today I met my 2nd cousin, a third cousin and a couple of my 4th cousins that all live up here in Nebraska.  And a couple of them decided they wanted to meet Jesse.  So I took them out to meet him, put him on the pedestool and jumped a couple times for them.
